Time Flies!!!!

I have been very neglectful of this blog in the past few months.  We're finally all settled into our house in Ellensburg- we've dubbed it Bumpkin Acres.   It's so much bigger than our house in Olympia, we don't know what to do with all this space... not only do I have a sewing room on the main floor, I also converted one of  the rooms in our basement into a library/parlor, where I watch a whole lot of "Downton Abbey", drink buckets of tea, and embroider.  The next project is turning the main room in the basement into a Game Room, and to build out the counter in our tiny kitchen... and I need to get my herb garden going out on the deck, now that the snow is gone!!!   So busy!!!!!

A big move coming up!

Things have been crazy here at the Oo-de-lolly Creative Headquarters (aka my house)!  We're packing up because... we're moving home to Ellensburg!!! The hubby got a job with the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.  Our new house is waaaay out in the country, (pro: 4 miles from my sister; con: moving back to a town without an Alt Rock station), built in the 70's (con: wood paneling,  pro: Cowboy Chic is never out of style in Rodeo Country) and the only house on a dead end road 1/2 mile long (pro: no nearby neighbors to piss us off; con: the fields of hay might just inspire my mostly dormant Asthma to rear it's ugly head).    The house is enormous, and has a spectacular view of the Kittitas Valley, but the best part?

That's right!  That is my sewing room.  It's not much, as we haven't really moved much in yet, but I can't wait to start some stitching!

In the meantime, check out The Duvet Project by giddy99 on Flickr.  She is simply stitching up all her favorite patterns on a duvet cover... I may undertake a similar plan, but a patchwork... hmmm....

I am super excited to start this new blog!  I plan on sharing my craft projects with you all, heavy on the embroidery and sewing.  This week, I will post pictures of my most recent projects, and keep you posted as I embark on my most ambitious embroidery project, yet!  Oo-de-lolly!!!
